According to officials, "People can get confused by the loud sound of crackers and can associate it with some danger. In such a situation, there is a possibility of fear or tension spreading among the public, which can affect the peace and order."

Earlier, firecrackers and drones have been banned as a precaution in Punjab, Haryana, rajasthan and gujarat too. Today, the public has been appealed not to do any such act which may create confusion.Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner ajay Kumar said that this ban will remain in effect at least till July 7. He said that in view of the situation on the country's borders, these instructions have been issued so that law and order is maintained in the city. The order said, "Firecrackers and loud noises in a wedding or any other event can create fear of bomb, drone or missile attack, which may affect law and order.
