A heart-wrenching incident came to light on friday night in Mohalla Chintepura of Charkhari Kotwali area of mahoba district. A lover couple living in a live-in relationship committed suicide by hanging themselves after a dispute over a cold drink. The age of the deceased youth is said to be 18 years and the age of the girl is only 16 years. It is said that both of them had married in a temple and were now living together.
Let us tell you that 18-year-old son Dhirendra of Chintepura resident Surendra Kumar Ahirwar and 16-year-old daughter sonia of Chandrapura resident ajay Kumar were living together for about two and a half months. Both of them met during a wedding ceremony, which later turned into a love affair. Initially, the family members opposed, but the father had to bow down to Sonia's stubbornness and he left the daughter with Dhirendra.
Both committed suicide in a minor dispute over cold drink
Late last night, sonia insisted on drinking cold drink. Dheerendra brought cold drink, but there was an argument between the two over something. In anger, sonia threw the bottle, which hurt Dheerendra and he went to the upper room and committed suicide by hanging himself. When sonia reached the room and saw her lover hanging on the noose, she panicked. She immediately went down and informed her grandmother who was present in the house. The people of the locality were called, but by the time everyone reached upstairs, sonia also committed suicide by hanging herself in the lower room.
On receiving the information of the incident, Kotwali in-charge praveen Kumar Singh and outpost in-charge Chandrashekhar Singh reached the spot. In the presence of Naib Tehsildar Alok Mishra, the Panchnama of the bodies was filled and sent to mahoba for post-mortem. This heart-rending incident has sent a wave of mourning in the entire locality. It is said that both loved each other very much and used to take vows to live and die together, their love could not blossom in two and a half months and mourning spread due to the death of both.
Both the bodies were sent for postmortem.
At the time of the incident, Dheerendra's parents had gone out to attend a wedding ceremony, while his elder brother lives in Delhi. Regarding this case, ASP Vandana Singh said that both of them hanged themselves due to a minor dispute over a cold drink, which led to their death. Panchnama of the bodies is being prepared and postmortem proceedings are being carried out and the police is investigating the case.
