
The case of rape of a minor girl in muzaffarpur and then her death during treatment in patna (PMCH) is gaining momentum. PMCH is being accused of negligence in treatment. Regarding the muzaffarpur incident, on tuesday (May 03, 2025), bihar health minister Mangal Pandey told reporters that one accused has been arrested. Strict action will also be taken by conducting a speedy trial within 15 days. After the incident, the girl was first brought to SKMCH in muzaffarpur where treatment was done. After that she was brought to PMCH.
Mangal Pandey said that as far as the allegations of negligence during treatment in PMCH are concerned, a high-level committee has been formed to know all the facts. An investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of three Directors in Chief of the health Department. One team will go to muzaffarpur and one will go to PMCH. After this, the report will be given. It is worth noting that till now Mangal Pandey had not given any reaction on this issue. There was a demand for clarification.

Let us tell you that the minor rape victim who was referred to PMCH from muzaffarpur, bihar, died last Sunday. After the incident of death, the family of the girl had accused PMCH of negligence. The family also created a ruckus outside the hospital regarding this. The family said that they kept sitting with the girl in the ambulance for 2 hours, but the hospital administration did not admit the girl. If the girl had been admitted to PMCH on time, her life could have been saved. In the clarification given by PMCH, it has been said that as soon as the girl arrived in the ambulance, arrangements were made for her treatment.
