Ingredients
2 cups long grain rice
100 gms noodles
1 tsp garam masala powder
Half cup cashewnuts
Half cup paneer cubes
1 tsp salt
Half cup butter
Method of preparation
1. Clean, wash and place the rice in a container or in a 2-litre cokoer with 2 cups of water. Pressure cook for 5 minutes.
2. After cooling, remove the rice from the cooker and add 2 cups of water into it. Add a pinch of salt to it and bring it to a boil. Stir in the noodles and pressure cook for 1 minute. Release the pressure carefully and drain well.
3. Now heat butter in a pan and fry the cashewnuts, paneer cubes and the bay leaves. Now add the rice and noodles and the masala powder. Cook on a high flame for 2 minutes. Mix the contents thoroughly and remove from fire.
4. Serve hot and garnish with lemon wedges.
