Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG: Country's first Toughroader cng car launched, know price and features
CNG vehicles are becoming popular in the country. After becoming the leader in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, the country's leading automobile manufacturer Tata Motors (Tata Motors) has launched its latest cng car Tata NRG i-CNG (Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG) for the indian market. The starting price of the Tata NRG i-CNG is Rs 90,000 more than the petrol model of the car. The cng version of the car is available in two trims - XT and XZ, which are priced at Rs 7.40 lakh and Rs 7.80 lakh, ex-showroom respectively.
Look, Design and Color
The Tata Tiago NRG can be said to be a pseudo-crossover based on the Tiago hatchback. The Tiago NRG i-CNG comes with body cladding all around with faux skid plates, just like the petrol version of the car. The car also gets a black roof, black ORVMs, roof rails, fog lights, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The cng version of the NRG gets the same design theme and is available in four exterior color schemes - Cloudy Grey, fire Red, Polar White, and Foresta Green.
Engine & Power
Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG gets a 1.2-liter Revotron engine. This is the same engine that powers the petrol version of the car. This engine generates a power of 72 bhp and a peak torque of 95 Nm. This engine generates 85 bhp power and 113 Nm torque with petrol. The Tiago NRG i-CNG comes with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol version gets an AMT option. The Tiago NRG cng gets a cng tank with a capacity of 60 liters.

Meanwhile, for passenger safety, the latest version of the hatchback is equipped with cng technology, with which the vehicle can automatically switch from cng to petrol mode in case of a gas leak. Also, both its variants get important safety features like dual airbags, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), corner stability control, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with a rear parking assistance sensor.
Talking about the cabin and interiors of the Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG, comes with an all-black theme. It gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, an 8-speaker audio system, steering-mounted audio controls, a fully wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital instrument cluster, Android auto and apple CarPlay support, a rear wash wiper, a cooled glovebox, a height-adjustable driver seat. And comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel along with a host of features.
