Ambassador will return

But now the news is that the favorite of many, Yeh shaan Ki Ride is making a comeback once again. Yes, according to media reports, Ambassador maker Hindustan Motors is reportedly planning to make a comeback by entering the electric vehicle segment.

Amidst the recent revolution in the auto industry, most of the major companies are consolidating their thinking of entering the electric segment. Even though the electric vehicle industry is still at an early stage, it is reported that Ambassador manufacturer Hindustan Motors is planning to make a comeback in india with electric vehicles.

According to media reports, Hindustan Motors, India's first car maker, has made up its mind to rebuild its business by entering into a joint venture with a european auto company in the EV industry.

was launched in 1957

Hindustan Motors launched the Ambassador in 1957, inspired by the british Motor Company's popular car Morris Oxford Series 3. The production of this car started at the plant in Uttarpara itself and after 58 years it was made in this plant till its last day.

Known as 'King of indian Roads'

The ambassador of Hindustan Motors was such that it was called the 'King of indian Roads'. This is because till the 80s the car had almost an umbrella rule on the roads of India. Most of the Ambassador cars had red-blue beacons. This vehicle used to be more with the officers and politicians, so it was considered as a 'ride of pride' among the common people.

This car used to come with 1.5 liter and 2.0 liter powerful diesel engines and 1.8 liter petrol engines. Its engine was no less than the power of any SUV of today.

left behind because of this

Maruti hurt the popularity of this car, which was the pride of the roads of india for a long time. This company launched a cheap 800cc car in collaboration with Suzuki Motor of japan to compete with the Ambassador. The result of which was that the demand for ambassador started decreasing. Gradually, this car was left behind so much that its production had to be stopped in 2014.
