The leaks may have spoiled the surprise, but Rockstar just showed why nobody should have counted it out. GTA 6’s Netflix Extended Look is here — and the sheer amount of gameplay packed into it is almost absurd. From criminal shootouts and smarter police chases to character switching, evolving appearances and an enormous playground of side activities, Rockstar appears to be building a world designed to punish anyone who simply rushes through the story.

1. Jason and Lucia are in serious trouble. The showcase opens with the pair caught in a drug deal gone horribly wrong, triggering a shootout, a frantic escape, and a police chase. Their relationship is also pushed further into the spotlight, making it clear that GTA 6 isn't treating its protagonists as interchangeable avatars.

2. The cops are coming for you — literally. Your clothes can give you away on security cameras, while changing outfits and storing weapons and clothing in cars becomes part of escaping the heat. And yes, the wanted system now reaches six stars. Rockstar is clearly turning police evasion into a deeper gameplay system rather than a simple chase.

3. Switching characters could completely change missions. Jason and Lucia can seamlessly swap during missions, depending on what the situation demands. A new Focus system can also highlight collectibles, opportunities, and potential mission paths hiding inside the open world.

4. GTA 6 wants you to live in Vice City. Basketball, racing, car meets, kayaking, scuba diving, base jumping, pool, mini-golf, gyms, and even a zoo are just some of the distractions waiting outside the main campaign.

5. The world actually remembers what you do. Stay on the run long enough and Jason or Lucia's appearance can visibly change. Sleep becomes necessary, while the in-game social-media system can turn your criminal exploits into viral moments.

6. And this may be Rockstar's biggest flex yet. The studio isn't simply making a larger GTA. It is making a world that wants players to get lost in it. Missions can have different exits, exploration can uncover new opportunities, and players are reportedly rewarded for slowing down instead of blindly jumping from one objective to the next.

After years of waiting, GTA 6 isn't just returning to Vice City. It looks like Rockstar is trying to make every other open-world crime game feel painfully small.
