The ongoing padayatra by 600 or so farmers from Andhra Pradesh's capital city of amaravati up to the Arasavillin srikakulam district, which was halted on saturday, might come to an end. This was the stance taken by prominent YSRC politician and state education minister Botsa Satyanarayana. Due to strong opposition from the locals, he told reporters on tuesday that the padayatra had "more or less come to a stop" and that it will not continue to Srikakulam.

The telugu Desam Party, according to the minister, has been in charge of organising the padayatra for the past few days. Only 60 of the 600 farmers who are supposedly participating in the padayatra are indeed farmers; the remainder are tdp workers or supporters, he claimed. As a result, they were exposed when the high court placed restrictions and required them to produce their identity cards. They were at a loss for words as the cops began demanding that they produce their identification cards. "Therefore, it was obvious that the so-called farmers were actually tdp staffers and not actual farmers. In the name of the farmers, they cannot longer continue the padayatra, according to Botsa.

The amaravati farmers' jac stated on saturday that they will temporarily suspend their 40-day padayatra to the Arasavilli temple in Srikalulam in opposition to the jagan Mohan reddy administration's proposal for three capitals. Gadde tirupati Rao, co-convenor of the amaravati farmers' joint action committee (JAC), said in ramachandrapuram village, Dr. b. r. ambedkar Konaseema district, "The decision was taken in the wake of the obstructions being created by the police to the padayatra under pressure from the local congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress party leaders, despite the court directions." He said that the jac would return to the high court after the four-day diwali break in order to obtain specific instructions from the court.

Rao claimed that the farmers had come to a near-standstill and that the police had encircled the event venue and placed limitations on their mobility. He claimed that they had barred locals and representatives of other political parties from entering the premises to show their support for them.
