The bharatiya janata party, which failed to establish its presence in andhra pradesh in the last assembly elections in 2019, is frantically attempting to reclaim some of its lost identity in the upcoming assembly elections. Because the bjp realises it has no chance of gaining even a single seat at the Centre, it is relying on the Jana Sena party, led by power star Pawan Kalyan, to make its presence felt.

Pawan, on the other hand, is in a similar scenario. Having failed to win a single seat despite having such a large fan base, the Jana Sena party chairman is hopeful that a tie-up with the telugu desam party will allow him to win at least a few seats by preventing a split in the anti-establishment vote. If the bjp and Jana Sena party wish to sail along without the TDP, neither has a distinct objective to appeal to the public. According to the bjp national leadership, both parties require an emotional issue to checkmate both the YSRC and the TDP.

Prime minister Narendra Modi is said to have discussed this issue with pawan kalyan at their recent meeting in Visakhapatnam. According to reports, the prime minister advised pawan kalyan to pursue the amaravati capital issue more aggressively than the TDP. At the same time, the bjp would focus heavily on the amaravati capital problem and rally behind Pawan Kalyan. The Centre, too, is expected to explain its position in support of amaravati soon, according to Modi.
