K chandrasekhar Rao, the chief minister of telangana rashtra samithi, declared his ambitious foray into national politics by rebranding his party Bharat Rashtra Samithi roughly two months ago (BRS). The party officials have been referring to kcr as the "leader of the nation" or "Desh ki neta" and asserting that he will soon become a viable alternative to prime minister Narendra Modi. Though the TRS's formal transformation into a national party has not yet been finalised, it has sparked discussion in political circles over whether the trs will lose its authority over telangana if it becomes the BRS and will no longer be able to assert that it only represents Telanganism.

Even hints from leaders like Talasani Srinivasa Yadav and errabelli dayakar rao suggest that the BRS will run in the Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and maharashtra assembly elections. They have so demonstrated that the party is not the voice of merely telangana, but rather has gained national identity and is capable of running in elections across the nation. Surprisingly, though, the trs leaders have recently rekindled support for Telangana. The trs leaders once again brought up the Andhra-Telangana problem after the attack on ysr telangana party president Y S Sharmila's vehicle earlier this week.

The trs leaders claimed she was an Andhra politician and said they had no right to organise a padayatra in Telangana. They emphasised Sharmila's opposition to telangana and that of her family members, notably her father Y. S. Rajasekhar reddy and brother Y. S. jagan Mohan Reddy. Additionally, they claimed sharmila was merely mentioning telangana to save her possessions there. She had to justify herself by stating that both of her children were born and raised in this country and that she is married to a telangana man.

Naturally, there are concerns as to why kcr can grow his party to the entire nation and foster the goal of becoming prime minister while the trs leaders are labelling sharmila an Andhra woman who has no business engaging in politics in Telangana. The trs leaders have also declared november 29 to be Deeksha Diwas in remembrance of the deeksha kcr took on that day in 2009, asserting that the trs stands for the sacrifice made for Telangana. Intriguingly, she attempted to stir up the same telangana sentiment when the Enforcement Directorate named trs legislator and KCR's daughter kalvakuntla kavitha in the remand report of one of the accused in the delhi liquor policy scam.
