Jammu kashmir Blast: Two blasts within 15 minutes...


Two blasts took place on saturday morning in the Narwal area of Jammu and Kashmir. 7 people were injured in this blast. Jammu's Additional director General of police Mukesh Singh said that there were two explosions in a span of 15 minutes in the Narwal area of Jammu. Now CCTV footage of this incident has come to the fore. In which a blue-coloured scooter, motorcycle and some other vehicles are seen at the spot before the explosion.


Officials said that the forensic team and bomb disposal squad have reached the spot to investigate the matter. According to preliminary investigation, it was an IED blast. Suspected terrorists carried out the blasts at the transport yard in Narwal at a time when security agencies in the area are on high alert in view of the Congress' Bharat Jodo yatra and the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.


Two blasts in a span of 15 minutes

An official said that the first explosion took place at 10.45 am, which was followed by another explosion about 15 minutes later. He said that the entire area has been cordoned off and the search operation is on. An eyewitness named Jaswinder Singh claimed that the initial explosion happened in a car that was being repaired at the shop.

According to Singh, 15 minutes later, there was another explosion nearby, scattering debris of motor vehicle parts and garbage in the area. He told that five people were injured in the first blast, while two people were injured in the second blast. Hospital sources said that seven people have been admitted due to shrapnel injuries and the condition of all is stable.
