Bollywood movies from the 1980s and 1990s frequently receive a bad image for using rape as a titillation device. The film In car, directed by Harsh Warrdhan, is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum and makes you wriggle in your seat like sakshi Gulati (National Award winner Ritika Singh), who is trying to escape after being kidnapped from a bus stop and brought to a remote spot to be raped.

A group of three criminals kidnap college-bound sakshi Gulati (Ritika Singh) on the machilipatnam National Highway. In a moving car, they attempt to sexually abuse sakshi after kidnapping her. sakshi, who is defenceless, begs them to leave her alone. Yet, the ruthless triad tries to harm her physically. What then does sakshi do? Did she elude them or fall victim to them? The solutions are in the main movie.

In his film, director Harsh Warrdhan addresses one of the primary issues that most women in our country encounter. In our nation, horrible people are kidnapping hundreds of women, yet relatively few of these incidents have come to light. The director wants to tell the story in this way.

Ritika Singh deserves praise for approving this type of film and for acting so well in the role of a vulnerable woman. manish Jhanjholia's portrayal of one of the kidnappers, Ravi, who exhibits cruel behaviour and lives up to the part, gives the impression that he ought to have been shot dead in the automobile. His portrayal is surprisingly lifelike, and everyone despises him for his vulgar speech and actions. Both Kittu (Sunil Soni) and Yashwanth (Sandeep Goyat) gave strong performances.

The investigation aims to probe into the psyche of the offenders. Richie informs sakshi that she is merely a helpless inferior mortal who doesn't deserve better treatment when the oft-repeated question of how such men can worship gods yet treat women so inhumanly finds a spot. Irony is also presented a few times in it. For instance, Richie goes about acting inappropriately with his sister while boastfully telling her that no one would dare to do the same. When she urinates in the car, he chastises her and wonders if her parents didn't educate her "to control," and you wonder if the molester lacks self-control when it comes to his sexual cravings.

Five characters—the elderly motorist whose car the criminals steal (Gyan Prakash), sakshi, Richie, his older brother Yash (Sandeep Goyat), and uncle (Sunil Soni)—are central to the story. Each of them turns in a strong performance. manish plays his part so flawlessly that every frame makes you want to gag. His brother Sandeep, who is a little more nice and compassionate, likewise does admirably. Ritika also shines when she plays the helpless girl or is attempting to flee.

See this intense and gripping survival drama thriller if you can handle upsetting material.
