Y. S. jagan Mohan reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, and his wife, Y. S. Bharati reddy, celebrated Ugadi, the telugu new year, on wednesday with customary joy and fervor. Celebrations for Sobhakrutu Nama Ugadi were place at the Chief Minister's official house. Many ministers, officials, leaders, and well-wishers were present. All telugu people were welcomed by the chief minister, who also wished them a happy and prosperous telugu new year.
 

The chief minister and his wife welcomed the visitors while dressed traditionally. He decorated the statue of his father, Y. S. Rajasekhara reddy, a former chief minister. Before listening to the Panchanga Sravanam read by renowned astrologer Kappagantula Subbarama Somayaji, who foretold good rains, good governance, and self-sufficiency in all major sectors in the coming year, the couple offered prayers at the temples of Lord Venkateswara Swamy, Lord Ganesh, and Tulasi. On this occasion, the chief minister received ugadi pachadi.

The pair saw the dance-dramas Padmaja reddy and the anand Sai ensemble performed about the significance of Ugadi and state administrative changes. Mayukh performed the well-known Annamacharya keertana "Nigama Nigamanta" for the event, while Vagdevi sang "Kannulato Chusedi," a song with a catchy melody. The couple honored the performers, artists, and singers who took part in the festivities, including vedic analysts.
 On this day, the chief minister released the Ugadai, Silparamam, and agricultural calendars.
