At the second Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening, President Droupadi Murmu presented Padma Awards for the year 2023. 53 recipients received awards, including 45 padma shri, 5 Padma Bhushan, and 3 Padma Vibhushan.
On april 5, 2023, President Droupadi Murmu awarded sudha Murty, an educator, an author, and a philanthropist, the Padma bhushan for her work in the social work area.
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the creator of the Samajwadi Party, received the Padma Vibhusnad posthumously from President Droupadi Murmu. In his place, his son akhilesh yadav travelled to Rashtrapati Bhavan to accept this honour. In october 2022, mulayam singh yadav passed away following a protracted sickness.
President Droupadi Murmu gave MM Keeravaani, who earned an oscar for writing "Naatu Naatu" for SS Rajamouli's RRR, the Padma music composer award. For his dedication to art, he received honours.
Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30, received the padma shri from President Droupadi Murmu for his services to literature and education. anand Kumar is a well-known academician and mathematician best known for founding the teaching facility Super 30. anand Kumar's life and career were also depicted in the 2019 movie Super 30, in which hrithik roshan represented him.
On april 5, 2023, actor raveena tandon received the padma shri honour from President Droupadi Murmu for her contributions to the arts. In 2023, Tandon will be the only performer to receive the padma shri honour.
