The karnataka High court will rule tomorrow on the question of prohibiting the wearing of the hijab in educational institutions in the state, which has sparked widespread debate across the country. Muslim students in Udupi have petitioned the karnataka High court to overturn the hijab prohibition. Chief Justice Ritu raj Awasthi, Justices JM Kashi and krishna Dixit heard the case.

Senior counsel Devadath Kamath and ravi Varma Kumar argued for the pupils, while the state's Attorney General, Prabuling Navadki, argued for the state. Following that, Senior Advocate SS Naganand of the Udupi Public university argued on behalf of the college. The BJP-led karnataka government has ordered school closures for a few days as violence between proponents of the hijab and right-wing organisations has erupted across the state.

The court stated that students should refrain from wearing religious attire until the matter is resolved. In this backdrop, the karnataka High court is set to rule in a matter involving the wearing of hijab in educational institutions today (Tuesday) and fingers crossed.
