Tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. stalin today inaugurated nine newly built police stations across the state, constructed at a total cost of ₹43.91 crore. The initiative is aimed at strengthening law and order and enhancing public safety through improved policing infrastructure.

Speaking at the inauguration, the chief minister said that modern police stations play a vital role in ensuring efficient law enforcement and better service to the public. He emphasized that the state government is committed to upgrading police infrastructure and providing improved facilities for police personnel to enable them to perform their duties effectively.

The newly inaugurated police stations are equipped with modern amenities, better public reception areas, enhanced security features, and improved working conditions for police officers. These facilities are expected to help reduce response times, improve accessibility for citizens, and strengthen crime prevention and investigation.

Chief minister stalin noted that the investment reflects the government’s focus on grassroots-level policing and public welfare. He added that strengthening law and order is an essential component of the Dravidian Model of governance, which prioritizes safety, justice, and people-centric administration.

Senior police officials and government representatives were present at the inauguration. The chief minister reiterated that the government will continue to take steps to modernize the police force through infrastructure development, technological advancements, and capacity-building initiatives.

The inauguration of the nine new police stations marks a significant step towards enhancing public safety and reinforcing confidence in the policing system across tamil Nadu.
