In the mumbai cruise drug bust case, actor Shah Rukh Khan's son aryan Khan was given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Last year, aryan was apprehended on a cruise ship off the coast of mumbai for alleged cocaine possession. He had been imprisoned at Mumbai's Arthur Road jail for several weeks. He had been released on bond. According to the NCB, 14 people have been charged under various parts of the NDPS Act, while six others, including aryan Khan, have been released.

The move was justified, according to Sanjay Kumar Singh, DDG (Operations). He added in a statement, "A complaint has been filed against 14 people under various provisions of the NDPS Act. Due to a lack of proof, a complaint against the other six people will not be filed ".. He went on to explain why aryan Khan was awarded a clean bill of health, saying that all of the defendants had been discovered with illegal narcotics except for aryan Khan and one Mohak. Except for two, all of the defendants are currently free on bond.

The NCB said in a statement, "NCB mumbai intercepted Vikrant, Ishmeet, Arbaaz, Aryan, and Gomit at the international Port Terminal, mumbai Port Trust, and Nupur, Mohak, and Munmum at the Cordelia Cruise on october 2, 2021, based on an input. Except for aryan and Mohak, all of the defendants were found to be in possession of narcotics."
