Mohammed Zubair was summoned for questioning in the case, which was registered in 2020. In that case, Zubair was prosecuted in 2020 for tweeting about someone who had misrepresented himself on social media. A user who responded to his tweet about verification posted a post criticizing Jubair with inappropriate words.




Mohammad Zubair, who shared the user's profile picture, said, "Does your beautiful granddaughter know about your part-time job of abusing people on social media? I suggest changing your profile picture." While sharing the picture, Zubair had blurred the picture of the girl in it.



In this case, the National Council for the Protection of the Rights of the Child had asked for an explanation for the complaint made by the twitter user regarding Zubair's activities. The cyber unit of the delhi police then registered a case against him under the Pokcho and Information technology Act. However, he was accused of revealing the identity of the girl. Mohammad Zubair then approached the delhi High court seeking permission from the delhi police not to arrest him in the case.
