Eatala Rajender, a former minister and bjp lawmaker from the huzurabad assembly district, made a sensational announcement on Saturday: he would run in the upcoming general elections from Gajwel, the district currently held by telangana rashtra samithi chief minister and president K chandrasekhar Rao. Eatala, a former kcr protege who served in the trs in a variety of capacities—including party floor leader in the assembly, state finance minister, and health minister in the telangana cabinet—was booted out of the cabinet in May 2021 for suspected anti-party activities.

Before joining the bjp, he later left the trs and his seat in the assembly. In november 2021, he ran for the seat again in huzurabad and won with a big majority. This helped the bjp gain ground in the state and sparked a fierce feud between kcr and the bjp leadership. Eatala recently announced that he intends to move from huzurabad to Gajwel for the upcoming elections.

The party's national leadership was informed of my desire to run for office in Gajwel, and they gladly supported my decision, he claimed. In actuality, the bjp lacks a strong leader to compete with KCR's stature in Gajwel. Eatala is confident that he would put up a good fight now that he has decided to challenge the trs leader. Eatala might believe that if he defeats kcr and wins the Gajwel seat, he will gain national attention for his giant-killing prowess. That will put him in charge, and if the bjp wins the election, he might be in the running for the position of chief minister.
