If sources are to be accepted, andhra pradesh will likely have five more mp seats following the subsequent delimitation. After the census in 2026, the central government had suggested adding more members to the Parliament. With 543 members in the lok sabha and 245 members in the rajya sabha, there will be 888 members total in the new parliament House as opposed to the current 788 members.

Currently, andhra pradesh has 11 rajya sabha members and 25 lok sabha members. The parliament committee has suggested increasing the number of lok sabha seats and rajya sabha seats in the delimitation, bringing the total to 28 lok sabha seats and 33 rajya sabha seats. The expansion of assembly seats from 175 to 225 was originally promised under the ap Reorganisation Act 2014.

However, this growth won't occur until after the 2026 census. Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, the census that was scheduled for 2021 could not be conducted. As things had stabilised, the central government made the decision to begin the census work in 2026 and to begin the process of defining the boundaries of the parliament and assembly constituencies. Once the census process is completed, it remains to be seen what the central government would do in the event that the number of assembly and parliament seats increased.
