The actor samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed to her followers on saturday that she has been diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disease. samantha shared a selfie of herself on instagram as she was lying on a couch with an IV drip attached to her wrist. The actor was watching the Yashodha teaser with her back to the camera and a microphone in front of her. samantha made a heart-shaped gesture with her hands but kept her face hidden.

Sam captioned the picture, "There was a resoundingly positive response to the Yashodha trailer. I have the ability to handle the apparently endless problems that life throws at me because of the love and connection I have with everyone of you. I was given the diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune disease, a few months ago. I had hoped to post this when it entered remission. However, it's taking a bit longer than I had anticipated."

She continued, "I'm starting to see that we don't always have to put on a brave face. I'm still having a hard time accepting this vulnerability. The medical professionals are optimistic that I will soon make a full recovery. I've had good days and horrible days, both physically and mentally, and even on the days when I feel like I can't go another day like this, that feeling eventually passes. It must only indicate that I am one day closer to recovery, I suppose. I cherish you (black heart emoji). THIS WILL ALSO PASS."
