Vijay is unhappy with political parties - Speech goes Viral!!!

The actor spoke at a celebration today for students who had just graduated from Class 10 and Class 12 in Chennai, amid rumours that Vijay, one of the biggest names in tamil film, was considering entering politics. The celebration was hosted by the All india Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, his fan association. The actor, who will turn 49 on june 22, did not give any advice on how to get into politics but he did encourage the youngsters to develop a reading habit and to read significant authors like Dr. BR Ambedkar, Periyar, and Kamarajar.

Even though Vijay avoided making any overt political allusions, he made it obvious that he disapproves of the way political parties are run and urged first-time voters to exercise caution. In the tamil Nadu local body elections in october 2021, Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, which has changed into a welfare group, ran and won 115 of the 169 seats it was running for.

Vijay warned students against accepting gifts in exchange for votes while taking potshots at the political parties that were just voted to office. "You are the voters of future. The leaders of the future will be chosen by you. By exchanging money for votes, we are sticking our fingers in our own eyes. Imagine a politician paying a voter in a constituency with 1.5 lakh voters Rs 1,000. How much must he have paid in bribes—close to 15 crore? Think about how much money someone must have made before offering a Rs. 15 crore bribe! I want all of this to be part of your educational system. If you go and tell your parents they shouldn't get paid to vote, there will be a shift, he said.
