Everyone knows the concept of Yugantham. The uproar and commotion on december 21, 2012, which heralded the end of an era, will never be forgotten. Once upon a time, it was called Skylab. Then it was said that it was the end of the era. They survived because there was no use of social media then. The story of this film is about the events that take place in the town of Bedurulanka. And how is this movie? Let's see that.
It was december 2012. The propaganda about the end of the era is raging. Bhushanam (Ajay Ghosh) hatches a plan in a village called Bedurulanka. Brahm (Srikanth Iyengar), a Brahmin of the village, along with Daniel (Ram Prasad), the son of a church father, tries to terrorize the people more. He tells the president of the village (Goparaju Ramana) that to stop the end of the age, he should melt all the gold in the town make a shiva lingam and a cross, and leave it in the Ganga. With this, the whole town agrees with fear. But shiva (Kartikeya) does not listen. shiva is already in love with the President's daughter Chitra (Neha Shetty). Will the President throw shiva out of the village for defying his words? What will shiva do after that? What will he do to get rid of the superstitions of the people of the village? How will he win his love? Why does he show the people of the village what the end of the age will be like? What is Kasiraju's role in this story?

How does one use fear in man? How to play people in the name of religion? How easily do they cheat? Whatever message this director wants to convey, the underlying message will be visible in this Bedurulanka. This movie looks like a satire on superstitions. A lot of meaning is also seen in the dialogue said by the hero that fear is seen more than devotion to God. He showed how difficult it is to change people who are full of superstitions.
The director has tried to convey a good message in an entertaining manner. It seems that the director has succeeded only half. The first half is not very impressive. It takes a long time for the actual story to start. The film starts slowly with the atmosphere of the village, the introduction of people with different mindsets in the village, and the introduction scene of the hero. But the Godavari districts have been well-applied in this. That accent and the satires there make everyone laugh.
Even the track of the hero and heroines is not that effective. They don't show anything about the reason for the love between the hero and the heroine.. They say love since childhood but that depth is not seen in a single scene. The second half seems more interesting than the first half. The director makes most of the laughs in the second half. The way shiva plays the people of the village and the changes in a man when he knows that he is dying, the second half seems better in many aspects. The climax is more laugh-out-loud.
Technically speaking.. if the songs given by mani sharma for this movie are ok... RR sounds better. All the departments like camera work, artwork, and editing have done a good job. The length is also short. The film seems to be cut very sharply. Dialogues are thought-provoking and religions seem to be targeted. The songs are not very memorable. The production values are good.
Karthikeya in the role of shiva looks very energetic as always. He is often seen in shirtless scenes and bunions to show that he is maintaining his fitness. He looks good in action and comedy scenes. neha shetty is a glamorous doll. The characters of ajay Ghosh, Goparaju Ramana, srikanth Iyengar, and ram prasad are hilarious. Whistles blow for the entries of satya and vennela kishore in the second half. Rajkumar Kasireddy who appeared as Kasiraju acted brilliantly.

Overall, A Watchable movie!
