Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) has advised all customers to provide their phone numbers at the power billing office. The agency said on saturday that the power distribution business will send electricity bills and other data to the phone number via SMS regularly.

The telangana state southern power distribution company limited (TSSPDCL) has erased prior tweets on scheduled and unscheduled power outages from its official account on microblogging platform X.

Furthermore, the 'proactive' account, @TsspdclCorporat, no longer responds to platform concerns.

Despite at least eight customer complaints about power outages tagged to the official tsspdcl account on february 3, there was no response.
On saturday morning, an unexpected power outage in numerous city sections prompted locals to express their outrage on social media.

Netizens voiced anger with TSSPDCL's slow response to recent concerns, encouraging the company to fix the issues as soon as possible.

The most recent acknowledgment from @TsspdclCorporat occurred on january 21, in response to a user request. The previous day, the account received 54 reports of power failures.

Surprisingly, all posts from january 1 have been removed, despite the official account's active response to requests and updates on power disruptions until january 21.

Meanwhile, statistics gathered earlier by india Herald show a considerable rise in warnings issued by @TsspdclCorporat in 2024 when compared to the same time in 2023. The amount of outage notifications grew significantly as compared to the prior year.
The move has prompted public worries about the power distribution company's openness and communication policies.

"The power cuts are part of the maintenance schedule to meet higher power demand in the summer/rabi season," musharraf ali Faruqui, managing director of tsspdcl, explained. According to him, power outages lasting up to two hours are required between november and january to satisfy demand.

"We regret the inconvenience caused by power outages in various locations of #GHMC. Please be aware that as part of yearly maintenance and to prepare for increased power consumption during the Summer/Rabi season, a power outage of up to 2 hours may be necessary @revanth_anumula @Bhatti_Mallu @TsspdclCorporat," he said in a post on X that has since been removed.
