The graveyard cleanup in hyderabad has started ahead of monday, february 26, Shab e Barat. Many Muslims customarily visit cemeteries on this day to honor the deceased souls.

In honour of Shab-e-Barat, the chief executive officer of the Waqf board has instructed the "Khabrastaan committees" in secunderabad and hyderabad to clean up cemeteries. At the cemetery, tombs and boundary walls are both being painted.

Telangana government declares a holiday for Shab-e-Barat
Previously, Shab-e-Barat, which falls on the 15th of Shaban, the eighth month in the Islamic calendar, was designated a holiday by the telangana government.
 
Despite announcing a vacation for Shab-e-Barat on february 26 in its calendar, the state administration lists it as an optional holiday rather than a general one.
 
Although it is not a public holiday, certain schools in the state will be closed on the last monday of the month, which is february 26.
 
Many individuals pay their loved one's grave visits in the evening, while others choose to fast on Shab-e-Barat.


A request for permission to pray at family members' graves due to "Shab-e-barat" on the property where the Akhoondji Masjid in Mehrauli once stood—before it was demolished by the delhi Development Authority (DDA) on january 30—was denied by the delhi High court on Friday.
 
Judge Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav's one-judge bench declared, "At this point, this court is not inclined to pass any directions, under the facts of the present case." The application is turned down.
