Sniffer dogs raided key rooms across the headquarters. The bomber was identified as a mentally challenged retired teacher. It was revealed that Prakash, a retired teacher from Nellikuppam in Cuddalore district, was the one who gave the bomb threat to the head secretariat. police investigation revealed that he was mentally ill. The police investigation also revealed that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment at the tamil Hospital in Vanagaram, Chennai. A few days ago, a bomb threat was issued to some private schools in Chennai. Specifically, last Feb. On the 8th, a bomb threat was sent to 13 schools from different parts of chennai namely Anna Nagar, Parimuna, JJ Nagar, Gopalapuram, and RA Puram.
In this regard, separate cases were registered in 9 police stations. All these 13 schools received the threatening message from the same email address, which was said to be in the name of a foreign company. A special team headed by the Deputy Commissioner was formed to investigate the matter and they investigated the IP address of the computer and from which area the email came. No arrests have been made so far, even though they are seeking the help of Interpol.
