Speaking on the continuing hostilities (between israel and Hamas and russia and Ukraine), External Affairs minister S. jaishankar declared on wednesday that the attack on israel by Hamas on october 7 was "terrorism" and that the Palestinian people had been denied their homeland.
 
Jaishankar stated that there are "no winners of a conflict" when addressing the indian diaspora in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He also discussed India's stance on the Russia-Ukraine crisis. "On the one hand, what happened on october 7 was terrorism; on the other hand, nobody would, you know, countenance the deaths of innocent civilians," stated the External Affairs minister of the continuing conflict between israel and Hamas. Nations may be justified, at least in their own eyes, in their actions, but an action cannot be taken that disregards international humanitarian law."
 
"And the fact is, that whatever the rights and wrongs of the issue, there is the underlying issue of the rights of the Palestinians and the fact that they have been denied their homeland," the External Affairs minister added.

Jaishankar stated, "We have also been the country who have the opportunity to talk to the Russians very frankly and bluntly on this (Ukraine) issue on different aspects," in response to a query about India's stance on the Russia-Ukraine dispute. You know, other people have sent messages via us."
 
"And by the way, the same thing applies when it comes to the Gaza-Israel conflict as well."
 
"We took the position from the start, that you're not going to get a solution to this conflict on the battlefield," he stated.
 
"In the end, not only do all involved parties suffer losses or damages, but also a great number of innocent bystanders or other nations. disagreement in one direction or another. Thus, we have been committed to finding a solution to end this crisis," jaishankar stated.
