Leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi K kavitha has filed a motion in the Rouse Avenue court, requesting that the tihar jail Administrator grant her permission to receive home-cooked meals and mattresses that adhere to the court's march 26, 2024, judgment. According to the plea, the applicant's health requires that she be given a mattress and be permitted to eat meals prepared at home.
In addition, kavitha asked Tihar, the jail superintendent, for permission to bring her eyeglasses and japa mala inside the jail. The plea further states that the applicant requests instructions from the Tihar authorities for the provision of slippers, bed linens, books, blankets, pens, paper, jewelry, medication, etc. while the defendant is in judicial custody. But none of the things the court ordered were given to the petitioner or permitted to be transported by them, in flagrant violation of the judgment dated march 26, 2024. According to the plea, the applicant has not even been permitted to bring eyeglasses and japa mala to the jail. Special Judge kaveri Baweja on thursday set a hearing for march 30, 2024, after noting the complaint and requesting a response from the tihar jail management. K kavitha was represented in the lawsuit by attorney Nitesh Rana, along with Mohit Rao and deepak Nagar.
On april 9, 2024, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K kavitha was placed under judicial custody by the Rouse Avenue Court. She was recently taken into custody in relation to a money laundering case involving the delhi excise policy. On march 15, 2024, the telangana Legislative Council's K kavitha MLC was taken into custody by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with the delhi Liquor Policy Scam. On march 15, 2024, a search was also carried out at K Kavitha's hyderabad home. The family and friends of K kavitha impeded the ED personnel during the search, according to a statement from the agency.
