Actor Daniel balaji, 48, from tamil Nadu, who was best known for his parts as Thambi in Vada chennai and Amudhan in Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, died on friday night after a major cardiac attack. The acclaimed actor, who was hospitalized at Chennai's Kottivakam owing to chest trouble, tragically died there. He was well-known for his numerous abilities and mesmerizing on-screen presence. On Saturday, his remains will be interred at his Purasaiwalkam home.
 
His admirers and the tamil cinema industry have been shocked and saddened by the news of his demise. Daniel Balaji's career began on television, where his first role as Daniel in Chitthi brought him national attention and helped to shape his identity. In addition to being an actor, balaji was said to be a pious man constructing a temple in Avadi.
