Numerous MLAs from the party have already defected and joined the state's other main parties. The P. gannavaram constituency's mla, Kondeti Chitti Babu, has now left the party. He was reportedly angry because he had not received P. Gannavaram's ticket for the next elections.

The event occurred when Chittibabu was not granted the party ticket by the ruling YSRC leadership. He was chosen to serve as the YSRC party's mla in 2019. However, the YSRC disregarded his excellent performance in the constituency and awarded Venugopal the ticket instead of him.
