Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most expensive endeavours in indian film, and it is the dream project of national award-winning director Nag Ashwin. prabhas, amitabh bachchan, kamal haasan, deepika padukone, and disha patani play the key roles in this sci-fi film. prabhas charged Rs 100 crores for the film, whereas amitabh bachchan and deepika padukone received Rs 10 crores each for kalki 2898 AD. 

Kamal Haasan has received more than Rs 50 crores, and his remuneration is calculated on a daily basis. According to the report, the producers spent close to Rs 700 crores for kalki 2898 AD. A large sum was put up for the sets and VFX. A large time machine set, Bujji vehicle, and other items were built from scratch.

A significant sum has been recovered through digital, satellite, and hindi rights. With only one song, the music deal was fair, but not amazing. vyjayanthi movies, the film's production firm, is banking big on theatre earnings, hence they are releasing the film on an advance basis with full refunds. If the film becomes a success, vyjayanthi movies will profit handsomely from kalki 2898 AD. The film is set to be released worldwide on june 27th in Telugu, hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
