She is the mother of 4 children including Selvaraghavan, dhanush, Vimala Geetha, and Karthika Devi.

Dhanush's mother has filed a complaint against actor and All india Samatwa People's party leader Sarathkumar which has caused a shock. Sarathkumar is said to own a house on the ground floor in an apartment in the prime location of Thiagaraya Nagar, one of the prime areas of Chennai. Dhanush's parents also live in one house of the apartment. The terrace of the apartment where they live is common to all. But there have been complaints that actor Sarathkumar is using the terrace for his personal and commercial purposes.

Following Sarathkumar's actions, all the occupants of the flat have sued Sarathkumar. Actor Dhanush's mother is one of those who filed such a case. The court has sent a notice to Sarathkumar and the corporation to respond in this matter. The investigation is expected to continue. Actor Sarathkumar has acted in films and is also the president of the All india Samatthu People's Party. He was involved in political activities along with his wife and formed an alliance with the bjp in the recently concluded parliamentary elections. Due to this, he faced various controversies among the people of tamil Nadu.

Subsequently, actress and Sarathkumar's wife radhika contested from Virudhunagar constituency. In this, Manikam Tagore (Indian National Congress), who contested against her, won by getting 36.3% of the votes. radhika lost with 15.7% votes, i.e. 1,66,271 votes. In this situation, a video of him doing temple angapradakshan for his wife to win before the election also went viral.
