She had to get thoroughly soaked for the song, and the rainy set-up was created by shooting it beneath cold water.

Mohra was released in 1994 and is now regarded as a cult masterpiece. In supporting parts were Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Raza Murad, Naseeruddin Shah, and Gulshan Grover. According to some accounts, divya bharti was initially chosen to play the main heroine, but her premature death caused that to alter. She was replaced by Raveena, who gave a superb performance that made the movie one of her career's most memorable.
 

Mohra was the best-selling bollywood soundtrack album of 1994, with hits like Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast, Kaash Kahin Aisa Hota, Subah Se Lekar, and Na Kajare Ki Dhar. Over 8 million copies of the movie's soundtrack record were sold.
