Following the pahalgam terror assault, Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist congress Party-SP, warned the Center against taking retaliatory measures against pakistan, stating that any decision should be carefully examined because Islamabad will not remain silent.
"Today we may take such decisions, but tomorrow pakistan will also respond," Pawar told reporters as he spoke outside an event in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. I don't think pakistan will say nothing."

The Indus Waters Treaty has been suspended, diplomatic ties have been downgraded, and all visas for Pakistanis have been revoked as part of India's harsh response to the attack that killed 26 tourists.

In addition, india reduced its diplomatic strength from the previously devalued 55 to 30 and blocked the Wagah-Attari border, which is the only land passage between the two nations.

Pakistan has rejected India's allegation of cross-border participation in the killings of tourists in Kashmir, but it has also retaliated with tit-for-tat actions.

Pakistan has restricted its airspace to Indian-owned and operated airlines and halted all trade with india as a warning to india that it will cancel the Simla Agreement.

Pawar stated that air travel to european countries would now cost more, citing the vital significance of Pakistani airspace for international travel.

"Pakistan is crossed by practically all flights to european nations.  "Air travel will become much more expensive if that route is closed," the ncp veteran stated.

Longer flight durations, more fuel consumption, and the potential for price increases to West Asian, Caucasus, european, UK, and North American nations are all consequences of Pakistan's airspace shutdown.

In his earlier response to the terror assault, the leader of the ncp (SP) criticized the Center for asserting that terrorism had stopped in Kashmir, arguing that the event demonstrated security flaws.

Indian airlines are thought to have lost almost Rs 700 crore as a result of increased fuel costs during the previous time pakistan blocked its airspace for about four months in 2019 following the Pulwama tragedy.
