
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar gave a big gift to the patients. He inaugurated a new building of patna Medical college and Hospital (PMCH) on Saturday. Addressing the program, the chief minister expressed the government's commitment to improve health services in the state. Officials said that the building has two towers, 1,117 beds and is equipped with modern medical technology and patient-friendly facilities.
On this occasion, Kumar said, 'This is not just a building, it is a commitment to the people of Bihar.' A statement issued by the Chief Minister's office said, medical services available in both the towers include intensive care units, private rooms, air ambulances and dedicated outpatient departments (OPDs) for major facilities. The statement further said that the infrastructure also includes clean waiting areas, elevators and ramps to improve access for patients and attendants.
Expansion of bed capacity in PMCH
According to the statement, “After the construction of all the towers is completed, the total capacity of PMCH will be more than 5,460 beds. The project worth Rs 5,545 crore is expected to be completed by march 2027. After the completion of the project, PMCH will be the largest hospital in the country.'

Efforts are on to recruit doctors in the state hospitals, availability of medical equipment and to provide facilities to the patients. PMCH is a renowned hospital of Bihar. Patients come here from far and wide for treatment. For the convenience of the patients, chief minister Nitish Kumar gave a big gift by inaugurating the new building of PMCH. He ordered to complete the PMCH redevelopment project within the stipulated time.
