Gulabrao Devkar joined ncp in the presence of the party's national president and maharashtra Deputy cm Ajit Pawar. During this time some other leaders also joined NCP.

Gulabrao Devkar lost the election from Jalgaon Rural seat

Gulabrao Devkar contested the assembly elections from Jalgaon Rural seat from Sharad Pawar's party, but he had to face defeat. It is believed that after the sharad pawar faction suffered a setback in the lok sabha and assembly elections in Jalgaon district, there was a rift among the party workers. Similarly, when the local body elections are near, many workers feel that they should be in the ruling party and perhaps due to this feeling, Gulabrao Devkar joined Ajit Dada Pawar's NCP.

Did not discriminate on the basis of caste or religion - Ajit Pawar

maharashtra Deputy cm and ncp chief ajit pawar has asked the party leaders and workers to leave the politics of caste and religion and work for everyone. He said, "We have never discriminated on the basis of caste or religion in politics or public life. Just like Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj ruled with all the castes, ncp works in the same way."
