The victory celebration of royal challengers Bangalore fans turned into grief when more than 10 people, including a woman and a boy, died due to a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on wednesday (June 04, 2025) afternoon. More than 50 people are reported to be injured in the accident. It is feared that the death toll may increase. Fans had reached the stadium in large numbers before the victory parade of the RCB team that won the IPL 2025.
Three people were taken to Bowring Hospital, where doctors declared them dead, while four others died at Vaidehi Multispeciality Hospital on Vittal Mallya Road. If eyewitnesses are to be believed, the stampede occurred when hundreds of people were trying to enter the stadium from a gate near Cubbon Park. After this accident, chief minister Siddaramaiah reached Bowring Hospital.

. After winning the IPL trophy, the RCB team reached HAL airport at around 2:45 pm.
. After this, the team reached the Taj Hotel in Bangalore. From here the team reached the Legislative assembly at around 4.30 pm. Here the cm and governor of the state welcomed the team.
. Earlier, a stampede had occurred at the back gate of the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which happened around 4 pm.

When the fans started entering the stadium, the police had to resort to lathi-charge. The fans also tried to climb the wall of the stadium. While trying to climb the wall, a person fell and broke his leg. Fans were even seen crossing the barbed wires on the walls of the stadium.
