DMK Member of parliament and Thoothukudi mp Kanimozhi Karunanidhi has remarked that as the 2026 tamil Nadu assembly Elections and national political contests approach, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allies are facing intensified political attacks from various quarters.

Speaking at a public meeting in southern tamil Nadu, kanimozhi said that such criticism and misinformation campaigns are not new and are, in fact, a sign of the ruling party’s growing strength and popularity among the people.

1. “Political Arrows Won’t Shake Our Resolve”

Kanimozhi said that as elections come closer, the DMK is witnessing a surge in false narratives, personal attacks, and targeted propaganda from opposition parties.
However, she emphasized that these “arrows” will not harm the party or its leadership, as truth and public trust remain firmly on their side.

“When arrows are shot at us from all sides, it means we are moving in the right direction.
The people of tamil Nadu know who works for them — and who only speaks,” she said.

2. Opposition’s Fear Is the Real Reason

The mp asserted that the opposition’s rising anxiety is the reason behind such continuous attacks.
She said that the BJP and its allies have realized they cannot gain ground in tamil Nadu through honest politics, so they resort to spreading misinformation.

“They cannot win the hearts of the people through love or work — so they try to do it through lies and hate,” kanimozhi said.

3. DMK’s Governance Speaks for Itself

Kanimozhi defended the DMK government’s record under chief minister M.K. Stalin, saying it has delivered tangible benefits through welfare and development.
She cited key initiatives like:

· The Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam (₹1,000 monthly aid for women)

· The Breakfast Scheme for school children

· Healthcare and education reforms that directly benefit the poor

“Our achievements are not slogans — they are realities that people live every day,” she said proudly.

4. “We Will Answer Lies with Work”

In response to continued criticism from opponents, kanimozhi said the DMK would not engage in shouting matches or personal insults, but would let its governance record be the answer.

“We will not waste time replying to every false claim.
Our response will be more schools, more hospitals, more jobs, and more progress,” she said.

5. Confidence in the People’s Support

Kanimozhi expressed firm confidence that the people of tamil Nadu understand the difference between propaganda and performance.
She said the public has repeatedly trusted the DMK because it walks the talk and works for all communities, without discrimination.

“No amount of political drama can change the people’s faith in this government,” she said.

6. women and youth Are the Strength of DMK

Kanimozhi, known for her advocacy on women’s rights and youth empowerment, said these two groups would play a crucial role in shaping tamil Nadu’s political future.
She emphasized that chief minister Stalin’s administration has ensured equal opportunity and financial independence for women and young citizens.

“When women and youth stand with us, no force can bring us down,” she said.

7. “The More They Attack, the Stronger We Become”

Ending her speech on a powerful note, kanimozhi said that political criticism and opposition only strengthen the DMK’s resolve.
She compared these attacks to arrows hitting a shield — painful but powerless to defeat.

“They can aim all the arrows they want, but we will keep walking forward.
Every attack only reminds us that we are fighting for justice, truth, and equality,” she said to loud applause.

8. The Dravidian Spirit Will Prevail

Kanimozhi reaffirmed that the Dravidian movement — founded on the ideals of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar — will continue to guide tamil Nadu’s progress.
She said that the DMK will never abandon its principles of social justice, secularism, and rational thought, no matter the political climate.

“We are not afraid of challenges — we are born from them,” kanimozhi declared.

💬 Bottom Line

MP Kanimozhi’s remarks come at a time when tamil Nadu’s political atmosphere is heating up ahead of the 2026 elections.
Her speech — mixing defiance with confidence — signaled that the DMK views criticism not as a threat, but as proof of its growing influence.

“As elections draw near, arrows may fly toward us — but we have the people’s shield,” she concluded.
