Former Union Civil Aviation minister Praful patel has expressed grief over the ahmedabad plane crash. He has talked about investigating this incident. He said, "Today a very unfortunate incident happened with air India's Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The whole country is in mourning. How the accident happened is a matter of investigation. The plane first came from delhi to ahmedabad, only then it must have been decided to prepare for London."

Praful patel said, "Right now we do not have any information whether there was a problem in the plane or not. Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a modern airplane. All the big airlines around the world use it. Thousands of Boeing 787 Dreamliners are flying all over the world. The captain was very experienced, he had 8,500 hours of experience flying airplanes... India's aviation sector is good and safe."

Praful patel said, "We also work under good rules and regulations around the world... Aviation is considered the safest form of public transport. Thousands of airplanes fly in the world, sometimes an accident happens. This does not mean that aviation is unsafe."

The gujarat government has appealed to the relatives of the people on board the plane to give dna samples to identify the bodies. A gujarat government official said, "Arrangements have been made for dna testing at BJ Medical College, so the families and close ones of the passengers, especially their parents and children, are requested to submit their samples at the site so that the victims can be identified as soon as possible."
