As disturbing details surrounding raja Raghuvanshi's murder come to light, the police have disclosed that the accused—including his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi—had attempted to kill him three times before but were unsuccessful. While on their honeymoon in Meghalaya, raja was allegedly murdered by three assassins hired by his wife Sonam, and her boyfriend raja Kushwaha.

"Raja Raghuvanshi was killed in the fourth attempt," Superintendent of police Vivek Syiem disclosed to media during a news conference. According to authorities, there were two unsuccessful attempts in Sohra, Meghalaya, after the initial attempt in Guwahati. According to Mr. Syiem, they killed him at Weisawdong Falls in the end.

"Earlier, they sought to get rid of him in several locations. Additionally, they intended to dispose of Raja's body in guwahati, but that plan never came to pass.  When raja went to the restroom, they intended to kill him at Nongriat, but they couldn't find a place to dispose of the body. Instead, they wanted to kill him between Mawlakhiat and Weisawdong. However, it failed to fructify. In Weisawdong, they eventually succeeded," the SP remarked.

"After getting married, Sonam and raja traveled to guwahati to see Kamakhya.  On May 19, the murderers had already arrived.  Sonam had intended to travel to Shillong and Sohra, but their original objective was to kill raja in Guwahati.  As a result, this proposal was put on hold," he continued.
