After the ceasefire between iran and israel, Hamas is now fighting for its existence. Hamas is struggling hard to survive in Gaza due to lack of fighters, collapse of tunnel network and lack of support from its ally Iran. Hamas is becoming helpless in front of rebellious local tribes and continuous Israeli military pressure.

According to a Reuters report, three sources close to Hamas said that Hamas fighters are working autonomously due to the long-term order to stay put, but this Islamic group is struggling hard to maintain its hold, as israel openly supports tribes opposing it.

'Gazavasis are constantly criticizing Hamas'

Another person said that due to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, international pressure for a ceasefire is increasing, so Hamas is in dire need of a ceasefire in the fighting. He said that the ceasefire would not only provide relief to the tired Gazans, who are constantly criticizing Hamas, but it would also give the Islamic group a chance to crush its enemies, including some tribes and robbers.

Two other sources associated with Hamas and familiar with the situation said that to counter the immediate threat, Hamas has sent some of its top fighters to kill a rebel leader Yasser Abu Shabab, but so far he is out of their reach due to being in the Rafah area occupied by Israeli soldiers.

'Hamas is now limited'

He said that Hamas is still capable of attacking. Hamas killed seven Israeli soldiers in an attack in southern Gaza on Tuesday. Regarding the matter, three Middle east diplomats said that intelligence assessment has shown that Hamas has lost its centralized command and control and it has become limited.

'Hamas is recruiting poor, unemployed and displaced youth'

An Israeli military official estimated that Israel has killed 20,000 or more Hamas fighters and destroyed hundreds of miles of tunnels under the coastal strip. Much of Gaza has been reduced to rubble in the 20-month conflict.

An Israeli security source said the average age of Hamas fighters is decreasing day by day. Israeli security sources say Hamas is recruiting hundreds of poor, unemployed and displaced youth.
