Tamil Nadu minister for Public Works and Highways, E.V. Velu, conducted an inspection in Tiruvannamalai to review the preparations for a major agricultural exhibition that is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Honorable chief minister on the 27th.

During the inspection, the minister closely examined the arrangements being made at the exhibition venue, including infrastructure facilities, exhibition stalls, farmer participation zones, and public amenities. He emphasized the importance of completing all works on time and ensuring that the event is organized smoothly, as it is expected to attract a large number of farmers, agricultural experts, officials, and members of the public from across the region.

The agricultural exhibition aims to showcase modern farming techniques, advanced agricultural machinery, innovative irrigation methods, and government welfare schemes for farmers. It is designed to serve as a platform for farmers to gain knowledge about sustainable agriculture, crop diversification, organic farming practices, and new technologies that can improve productivity and income.

Minister E.V. Velu instructed officials from various departments to coordinate effectively to ensure proper security, traffic management, cleanliness, drinking water facilities, and uninterrupted power supply during the event. He also stressed that special attention should be given to the convenience and safety of visiting farmers, women, and senior citizens.

Officials from the Agriculture Department, district administration, and other line departments accompanied the minister during the inspection and briefed him on the progress of the arrangements. The minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work and urged the teams to maintain high standards, as the exhibition reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and supporting farmers.

The exhibition, once inaugurated by the chief minister, is expected to play a significant role in promoting agricultural development, farmer awareness, and rural economic growth in the Tiruvannamalai region.
