Major accident: LPG Cylinder Truck Blasts at NH-31...

A major accident took place on NH-31 in Bihar's bhagalpur district on late tuesday night. A truck full of gas cylinders going from bhagalpur to Khagaria suddenly caught fire. After this the cylinders started bursting. More than 100 cylinders exploded in about an hour, due to which the whole area was shaken. The sound and light of the blast could be heard up to a distance of about 3 kilometers in the night. 

The blast was so terrible that the truck and the driver also broke into pieces. In the investigation on the spot on wednesday morning, only six pieces of the driver's body could be recovered. The police has started investigating the cause of the accident.

The accident happened in Naugachia police station area of Bhagalpur. There was also a petrol pump just 50 meters away from the spot. When the fire broke out, the cylinders were falling far and wide with the explosion. people say that if a single cylinder had fallen on the petrol pump, the accident would have become even bigger.

The helper jumped on the fire, he told the incident

According to the police, when the truck caught fire at around 2.30 am, its helper managed to jump, but the 38-year-old driver Mantu could not jump. The helper only informed about the whole incident. Mantu Kumar was a resident of Shankarpur Munger. The relatives who reached after the accident told that the truck belonged to Uttam of Munger, which was driven by Mantu.

Driver Mantu has four daughters and two sons

Mantu's relatives told that he has six children, of whom 4 are daughters and 2 are sons. All children are small. Information about the fire in the truck was received at five in the morning and those people came there. When they tried to find Mantu's body parts among the pieces of the truck, only six pieces could be found. The rest of the body got burnt in the fire. When Mantu's family members were placing the pieces of his body in a pot, the eyes of the people present there also became moist.
