What is the name of the liner referred to when you  say ‘Cut a circle in two points’?  Answer: Secant: when a straight line cuts any curve at two distinct points, it is called a Secant. However, Secant is not the same as tangent. Tangent, no matter how far it is produced either way, has only One point in common with the curve.
