WHO warns against 8 vegetables as too dangerous!!!

Vegetables are beneficial for health but not all. In a healthy diet, half of your plate should be filled with vegetables and pulses, but according to a recent WHO report, if you want to be healthy, then some vegetables should not be on your plate.

This is because toxic chemicals are also found in some vegetables. Eating those in the wrong way can cause serious diseases and even death. Therefore, if these vegetables are not eaten very carefully, then they can become the cause of many types of infections ranging from cancer. So let's know about which vegetables WHO has issued a warning for.

Mushroom

Muscimol and muscarine are considered toxic in wild mushrooms. Symptoms like vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach and intestinal diseases as well as salivation and hallucinations are seen by eating it. Toxic mushrooms are prone to liver, kidney and nervous system damage. That's why avoid consuming wild mushrooms.

Bamboo Root Vegetable

In many places, a vegetable made from the bamboo root is eaten, which is considered very harmful. According to the WHO report, cyanogenic glycoside phytotoxins (poisonous chemicals produced by plants) are also found in them. This is a chemical that can cause problems with breathing, a drop in blood pressure, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or cramps.

Tomato, Potato and Eggplant

WHO has warned about tomatoes, potatoes and brinjal. Solanine and chaconine toxins are found in all of these. To reduce the toxicity in these things, it is necessary to store them in a cool and dry place and their green part or sprouts should not be eaten at all.

Lectins in kidney beans

Legumes like kidney beans, soybean etc. contain substances called lectins and they are toxic. This toxin is the maximum in red kidney beans. Eating at least 4 or 5 raw beans can cause severe abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. To destroy lectins, dry beans should be soaked for at least 12 hours and boiled in water for at least 10 minutes.

Carrots and Celery

The WHO report mentions a toxic substance called Furocoumarins in carrots and celery. Eating raw or too much carrot and celery vegetables can cause problems related to the stomach and intestines. This toxin is also found in citrus fruits like lemon and grapefruit.
