As previously reported, actor karthi commenced filming for his film 'Sardar' with director PS Mithran in chennai yesterday. The star actor, who recently completed filming for his film 'Viruman' with director Muthiah, is sporting a clean shaven beard. All COVID requirements were followed at the location as the shooting resumed. The team began the shooting with the female lead Rajisha Vijayan at the premises too.

Raashi Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, and simran star in the movie, which is produced by lakshman of prince Pictures and has GV Prakash's soundtrack. "Shoot resumes with the very-amazing @Karthi Offl #Sardar," filmmaker PS Mithran wrote alongside a small BTS video of himself explaining a shot to actor karthi (sic). In the spy thriller, karthi will play two roles. The director previously stated that the film would deal with a variety of subjects and will be plenty of exciting moments.

Munish Kant, Chunky Pandey, Prince, and murli sharma round out the cast. The cameraman is George C Williams, and the editor is Rubens. Earlier there were speculations that the movie is about to be shelved as karthi never showed up and he was busy in ponniyin selvan and the chances of resumption are too low. However, karthi quashed all the rumors and have restarted the shooting now and it is going in full swing.
