According to Ravindra's relatives, with his new identity, ravindra kaushik worked in the pakistan Army for eight years and during this time he kept providing intelligence about pakistan to the indian Army, due to which india always got a better position in the border. The identity of ravindra kaushik was revealed in the year 1983 by the mistake of Inayat Messiah, another agent of RAW. It is said that Inayat was sent to meet ravindra but she got caught by Pakistani intelligence agencies in between. During interrogation, he also took the name ravindra Kaushik. Inayat was then asked to call ravindra to meet him at a park and when ravindra came to meet her, he was arrested.

According to family members, ravindra Kaushik, who was arrested in 1983 at the age of 29, was sentenced to death by the supreme court of pakistan in 1985, which was later converted into life imprisonment. During this, he was kept in Sialkot to Kot Lakhpat and Mianwali Jails. Due to his espionage skills, ravindra kaushik managed to write letters to his family members even during this period. ravindra Kaushik, a resident of Sriganganagar, Rajasthan, died in november 2001 due to tuberculosis and heart disease. He was buried in New Central Multan Jail.

Ravindra Kaushik's brother Rajeshwarnath and his mother amala Devi wrote many letters to the government to honor the services of ravindra Kaushik. Producer-director rajkumar gupta has taken the rights to the biopic of raw agent ravindra kaushik from his family members, according to which these rights will be considered canceled if the film is not started in five years. This period has been completed at the beginning of this year. Now according to a statement released on Monday, ravindra Kaushik's family has handed over the rights to this biopic to filmmakers divya Dhamija, Ashwin Srivatsangam, and R Vivek.
