With the siddharth Anand-directed movie "Pathaan," which also stars deepika padukone and john Abraham, superstar Shah Rukh Khan made his acting comeback after a four-year absence. The YRF movie was a huge hit, grossing more than 850 crore rupees globally. After "Jab Harry Met Sejal" and "Zero" had poor box office results, Khan took a hiatus. Since not every movie is a hit, performers encounter situations like these frequently.

With his movie "Ra.One," SRK has already dealt with this issue. In an interview from 2012, SRK was questioned about the viability of movies and his continued relevance in an evolving world. In a mix of hindi and English, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Badshahs are wealthy, but I am a fakir and an ascetic. I've never valued material wealth and have never had a desire for it. I brought 1500 rupees to mumbai and will take the same amount home.

I've earned a lot of affection and respect with utmost love, and those things are mine to keep. Since 70 of the movies I've made have been profitable, I'm not afraid to try another one in the hopes that it will eventually succeed."
