In most award ceremonies, we see major superstars receiving nominations, but in this case, a character actor received a nomination for Best Actor at one of the most opulent events, the Cannes Film Festival. The actor is the gifted Shafi, who appeared in the movies "Chhatrapati," "Khadgam," and "Varsham." shafi portrayed a middle-aged man in the amit raj Verma-directed short film "3:15 AM." This thriller was recognised with a prize at the Los Angeles Film festival in 2023.

After being nominated, shafi is ecstatic. Being recognised among such brilliant actors is an incredible honour, shafi added. shafi didn't hesitate to do a short film despite having been in more than 50 movies. "I agreed right away when director amit approached me. Even though it's only a short film, it was a significant undertaking for us, and we never imagined Cannes would honour our work," added Shafi. shafi has been an underappreciated actor for a long time; perhaps, he will change that going forward.

The short film reportedly received a nomination at Cannes now. The popular telugu actor is praised for playing in a short film after appearing in a variety of parts in more than 50 movies. Commenting on the subject, shafi allegedly stated that the filmmaker had contacted him with compelling material that prompted him to do the movie right away.
