He is currently developing his physical fitness for his upcoming project while studying martial arts in Thailand. The specifics of his follow-up to Pathu Thala are still a secret, though. In his personal life, silambarasan recently celebrated his 40th birthday and is still single. 

One of the most popular media rumors in recent days is that the multi-talented actor got engaged to a tamil girl from Sri Lanka. Additionally, reports claimed that his parents had orchestrated the alliance. The manager of STR has since refuted the unfounded rumors. Ironically, there have been several reports that trisha will marry Simbhu as they were childhood friends and STR's father denied that news as well.

The actor's official response is as follows: "We vehemently refute the rumours spread by a few media outlets that silambarasan TR has become engaged to a tamil woman from Sri Lanka. There is no basis for it. We want our media allies to confirm with us matters as private as "marriage." Our media friends will be the first to be contacted and informed of any positive marriage-related news."
